Giant Clamshell Chair
A life-sized clamshell chair with shimmery pearl ridges and barnacle details, built from chicken wire and paper mache over a simple acrylic chair frame.

Iridescent paint catches the light across sculpted ridges while tiny foam clay barnacles cluster along the base — the whole thing looks like it washed ashore from a mermaid’s living room, yet it’s light enough for a kid to carry. Charity Grace builds the shell shape with chicken wire and wood supports screwed into an acrylic chair, then layers paper mache and foil to create those signature ridges. A perfect statement piece for photoshoots, conventions, or themed parties that somehow fits in a minivan.
